In the Early Hours

Just as Henry was born, in the early hours of the 28th, a storm thundered outside the hospital. Small hail stones tapped at the glass doors gathering on the balcony. Perhaps I was still awestruck at the remarkable birth of a little boy accompanied by the ferocity of this storm but at that moment I was reminded of the wonderful love that enfolds us. It was an assurance I could almost physically feel deep within me. I'm not sure what you might call it but it was a profound moment. It was as if the whole world shifted underneath me so I stood in a different place, with a different viewpoint.

Just exhausted I guess .... or not?
